Default Marvel MMO

A number of months ago, it was announced (read about it here) that the MMO set in the Marvel Comics universe is to be an XBox 360 exclusive. Why on earth would Microsoft, or anyone for that matter, not release such a game on PC? I'm really having difficulties seeing the logic surrounding this decision.

In a separate interview, a Microsoft representative estimated that roughly 60% of the XB360 community will play online games "with frequency." Conventional wisdom/personal observations might suggest that players utilizing XBox Live tend to flock to games with a faster pace of gameplay than most MMOs offer. The concept at hand is not entirely new; FFXI is available for the PS2. However, I doubt that anyone familiar with the game would deny the superiority of the PC version. Given that the console market in recent history is dominated by sports/racing games and Halo knockoffs, where did they get the idea that RPG enthusiasts would want to abandon the PC?

I'd been anticipating this Marvel game for quite some time, but I have little desire to buy a new console in order to play it.

Why would anyone bother playing a Marvel MMO on the PC when they have City of Heroes/Villians? Seriously... what is more cool, having to play someone else's vision of a superhero/villian, or coming up with your own?

It would be pay to play anyway, don't waste your money monthly for that.

Another reason it's a bad idea... 1 Wolverine, 5 million moronic 13-year olds who want to play him. Do the math.

It may work if you could make your own hero in the Marvel world and come in contact with Marvel characters like Spiderman either as NPCs or, even better, being played by actors like I heard happened with some characters in The Matrix Online

Well, I think it will be Justice League theme. I mean there is like 10000million superheroes out there in different dimensions and planets why not make an MMO?

It's okay, just wanted to make sure you don't go about believing Justice League is Marvel and get attacked by crazy comic book junkies.
